Cultural Training for companies
Collaboration starts with understanding
When a team brings together people from different backgrounds, small misunderstandings can grow into real obstacles. With the right support, that same diversity becomes a genuine strength. Our cultural training gives your workplace the tools to turn cultural awareness into smooth, confident collaboration.

When is cultural training the right solution?

Your team is welcoming international talent
Joining a new culture and workplace takes more than signing a contract. Training prepares both the new employee and the receiving team, so collaboration begins with trust and shared understanding.
Your multicultural team needs a common framework
Cultural differences can surface as small ambiguities, misunderstandings, or mismatched expectations in everyday work. Training makes visible what might otherwise go unsaid and builds clear ways of working in its place.
An employee needs support settling in
Finnish workplace culture and practices can feel unfamiliar to someone new, and without support, integration can remain surface-level. Training provides the tools and insights that help a new employee find their footing faster and feel genuinely welcome.
Who is cultural training for?
Cultural training supports both individual employees and the wider organisation.
TEAMS AND MANAGERS
who want to improve collaboration, communication, and team culture in a multilingual environment.
INTERNATIONAL EMPLOYEES
who are starting their career in Finland or are already part of the organisation and need support connecting with workplace culture.
HR AND LEADERSHIP
who are responsible for international recruitment, diversity management, and workplace development.
What cultural training achieves

A strong start from day one
Training gives both the employee and the team clarity and confidence. A smooth beginning builds trust and improves collaboration from the outset.
Better communication, fewer misunderstandings
A shared language does not automatically mean shared understanding. Training establishes clear communication norms and removes unnecessary barriers.
Smoother teamwork, less friction
When expectations and ways of working are clear, day-to-day friction decreases. Work becomes easier and conflicts less frequent.
Stronger commitment and job satisfaction
Feeling genuinely welcome and culturally understood increases motivation to stay, grow, and succeed. That strengthens the whole team’s collaboration in the process.
How cultural training works

Training is always tailored to the participants and the organisation. Sessions typically cover:
- The distinctive features of Finnish workplace culture
- Communication and interaction styles
- Hierarchy and employer–employee expectations
- Participants’ own experiences and questions
Training can be delivered online or in person, as a standalone session or as part of a broader onboarding programme. Typical duration is 1,5 to 3 hours. Content adapts to whether the audience is the receiving team, international employees, or both.
Training is delivered by Arffman, part of the Barona group.
