Local Representative for Posted Workers in Finland
When you post workers to Finland, Finnish law requires you to appoint a local representative for the duration of the posting. We act as your named point of contact with the authorities — with a clear, flexible service model.

When is a local representative mandatory?
Under the Act on Posting of Workers, any foreign employer posting workers to Finland must appoint a representative for the entire period of posting. The representative must have a registered address in Finland and is responsible for ensuring all required documents are available to the authorities. In practice, you need a local representative whenever:
You have no establishment in Finland
Without a Finnish address, you cannot meet the legal requirements. Barona provides official contact details and acts as your representative.
Your posted workers need a point of contact
Both posted workers and the authorities must have a designated contact throughout the entire project period.
An authority or trade union representative makes contact
Whether it is the Occupational Safety and Health Authority (OSHA) or a shop steward, we act as the contact point and coordinate communication with the authorities.
Project circumstances change
When the situation on the project changes, we support you in making any necessary updates to the posting notification.
What does the service cover?
Our local representative service is built around your needs. The model is flexible and always tailored to fit your specific situation.

- Identity details of the posting company and of the posted workers
- Evidence of the right to work in Finland
- Information on terms and conditions of employment
- Working time records for work performed in Finland
